Dans Les Bois - Film with live orchestra
As the winner of the European Talent Award Honorary Mention at the SoundTrack Cologne 17, Yin composed the orchestral score for the animated film Dans Les Bois, which was screened at the award ceremony in Oct 2020. It met with acclaim from the president of the jury, Oscar-winning composer Stephen Warbeck: "This is an impressive piece of work, instrumentally and harmonically rich, and every dramatic moment is matched by the music. The shimmering opening is beautiful, and the music unfolds from there in a very organic way. He shows great skill in harmony and orchestration.” An excerpt of the score was recorded by the RCM Screen Orchestra conducted by Matt Dunkley.
FLOWER DUET by Haemin Ko - Official Winner of the "New World Classic Animation Award 2021"
'Flower Duet' by Haemin Ko has realized the mood of the given song very aesthetically. Film composer Yin Lu also managed to perfectly integrate the main theme of Leo Delibes Song 'Flower Duet' into the soundtrack. We are pleased to present the 'New World Classic Animation Award' to Haemin Ko, as image and sound create a beautiful symbiosis and perfectly underline the drama of the fading. As a counterpoint, we would like to give a 'Special Mention' to the short film 'Abudabude' by Kim Ngyuen. Naïve animation meets classical music, as well as not quite adult content. This entertains and provokes in equal parts. Ameba copulations in Tchaikovsky's 'Nutcracker' rhythm, including the inevitable climax...definitely worth a mention.
