Our Saigon
Documentary feature film by Craig Lowy (In post-production; 2022)
It is a story about Elaine, who is in search of home - she may never find it. After a 30-year absence, she returns to the city she was forced to flee when she was a teenager - Saigon. With her are her three very lively California-born daughters - Jo, Iris and Jenny. And that’s just the beginning of her wild journey.
The music for the documentary feature film Our Saigon directed by Craig Lowy explored diverse sound palettes and music styles, aiming to depict the multicultural context in the film. The music also leads the audience back to the tragic war-torn era during the Fall of Saigon.
The clip is a combination of some footage from the recording sessions and the film.
Many thanks to the musicians:
Đàn bầu/ Sáo: Thang Tran
Violinist: Sherry Shen
Cellist: Nicola Siagri
